Linux OS In 18 Indian Languages, BOSS GNU/Linux.

Now the GNU/Linux Operating system is available in nearly all localised Indian languages. BOSS is the Linux (Computer Operating Software) in Indian languages. BOSS GNU/Linux is an Indian OS. As the Indian history knows CDAC always came up with the revolution in Electronics and Information Technology in India. CDAC is primarily an R&D institution involved in the design, development and deployment of electronics and advanced Information Technology (IT) products and solutions. BOSS means Bharat Operating System Solutions. BOSS (Bharat Operating System Solutions) is a Debian based GNU/Linux distribution developed by CDAC, Channai in order to benefit the use of Free/Open Source Software through out India its available in nearly all Indian languages. BOSS GNU/Linux is a key deliverable of NRCFOSS promoted by Department of Information Technology (DIT), Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MC&IT), Government of India.

It’s BOSS (Bharat Operating System Solutions) is a Debian based GNU/Linux distribution developed by CDAC. Debian is "the Seed over which BOSS GNU/Linux is grown". Debian GNU/Linux is the result of a volunteer effort to create a free, high-quality Unix-compatible operating system, complete with a suite of applications. Debian was declared in the year 1993 and it is still growing with developer who are technically competent and many more volunteers and contributors.

BOSS makes it easier for Microsoft Windows user to migrate to GNU/Linux platform, by providing outstanding features like bulk document converter, presentation tool and also features like plug and play. BOSS GNU/Linux Desktop Version 3.0 is available in a single DVD in 18 Indian languages with Install, Live and Utility options.
